Prevent Suicide Greater Milwaukee (PSGM) is a coalition of volunteers representing local agencies and organizations as well as the general community. PSGM is part of the state-wide initiative, Prevent Suicide Wisconsin (PSW). We are a community coalition working together to reduce the number of suicide attempts and deaths from suicide in Greater Milwaukee. We are an open coalition and invite new members who are interested in the cause of suicide prevention.
PSGM is a program of NAMI Southeast Wisconsin, Inc., and utilizes NAMI's non-profit status for donations, etc. |

PSGM's Vision & Mission:Prevent Suicide Greater Milwaukee aims to prevent suicide in our community by providing education about warning signs, early interventions, risk factors, and where to turn for hope, help and support.

Coalition Organization
, PSGM Steering Committee:
The Steering Committee’s responsibilities include coalition leadership, development and implementation of the PSGM strategic plan, and oversight of all PSGM programs, training, and information disseminated by PSGM. The Steering Committee will carry out the mission and vision of PSGM and will ensure that consideration is given to the perspective of all constituents of the coalition.
The PSGM Steering Committee holds monthly meetings.
PSGM Coalition Members:
Greater Milwaukee community organizations and individuals make up this network of coalition partners committed to an integrated and collaborative approach to suicide prevention consistent with the goals/objectives of PSGM and the Wisconsin Suicide Prevention Strategy. PSGM Coalition Partner meetings are held quarterly in March, June, September, and December.

PSGM plans, facilitates and hosts periodic conferences and workshops related to suicide prevention.

We are also asked to give presentations regarding suicide prevention at schools, churches, and other venues. We use our pool of expert speakers within PSGM to meet this need.
