Prevent Suicide Greater Milwaukee (PSGM) is a coalition of volunteers representing local agencies and organizations as well as the general community. PSGM is part of the state-wide initiative, Prevent Suicide Wisconsin (PSW). We are a community coalition working together to reduce the number of suicide attempts and deaths from suicide in Greater Milwaukee. We are an open coalition and invite new members who are interested in the cause of suicide prevention. We often refer to ourselves as PSGM for short. We are a no-pressure coalition! To belong can mean you attend a training “here and there” or you run an elaborate workgroup.
PSGM is a program of Jewish Family Services, and utilizes JFS' non-profit status for donations, etc. |
PSGM Vision:
Community awareness and education regarding suicide will lead to early intervention and prevent suicide attempts and deaths by suicide.
PSGM Mission:
To reduce the impact suicide has on the Greater Milwaukee Community by way of increasing education, providing advocacy and support to those who are affected by suicide through post-vention.
